Binary Pumpkin are a fresh start-up based in Dundee. Founded in 2011 by Bruce McNeish and Lol Scragg who between them have over 30 years games industry experience, the company is now developing it’s own products as well as offering it expertise to others.
Prior to Binary Pumpkin, Bruce and Lol were co-founders of Cohort Studios who developed console titles primarily for Sony Europe. The company employed over 50 people at it’s height and for a short time was the largest independent games developer in Scotland. When Cohort reduced headcount in 2011, Bruce and Lol exited the company and took positions building a games team for the Dundee company Waracle, where they created and managed a small team of recent graduates to deliver three social projects in under one year.
